Can anyone speak to the issue of foreclosures in Salinas, California? Foreclosures are up around the country due to the sub-prime lending practices. Is there any foreclosure impact on real estate in Salinas?

Yes! Heavy impact! Many foreclosures, several types of auctions, etc. Presently market is flooded with Foreclosures and Short Sales. Prices have in some cases been pushed back to the 2001 prices. Some low priced foreclosures now obtaining dozens of offers.
